Cavity-Free

I went to the dentist for a cleaning today, and I told my hygienist that my new year's resolution was to floss everyday, so she gave me three free things of floss.

Bad Luck

Or do you think since this mirror only cost $5, the bad luck doesn't last as long? That's what I'm hoping.

The Baby Shower Table

Mom made the diaper cake in the center, and I made the origami animals for the cake topper and around the base. I did all the food too. We had roasted beet salad, tortellini skewers, turkey sandwiches with apple, brie, and fig onion chutney, mediterranean filled phyllo cups, artichoke crab dip, ricotta leek tarts, & asparagus tarts.

Animal and Onesie Cookies!

We had the amazing Gina Miller make cookies to pass out as favors for the baby shower. She made onesie cookies and she also did hippos, alligators, & elephants based off the bedding Meg is using in the nursery. She made little baby feet for Dan and Meg too. So cute!

Sneak peek of the baby nursery

I hung these shelves in the baby nursery today. More pictures to come once it is completely finished. Also, Megan wanted it known that this is not the final setup of the shelves...I just filled them really quick for the photo.

Heart Attack Burger

A guy at work made this. It has a burger patty, caramelized onions, mushrooms, bacon, an onion ring, lettuce, tomato, a fried egg, and wait for it...2 grilled cheese sandwiches as the bread!

Point of information: I did NOT eat this.

Painting class

I took a break from helping watching Adam work on the closet to go to Splash with Christina, where we had a super fun painting class and drank wine. Tomorrow, the result!

Closet Remodel 1: Before

Closet Before

This was a week-long project that Adam undertook, which included ripping everything out of our closet, spending copious amounts of time at The Container Store, and lots of hard work. Which is why this week will be full of pictures of my closet.

Playing with your food

Okay, this one takes some explanation. I went to an experimental music show last night called Elektrostube. It was in this warehouse downtown and featured multiple experimental music composers and performance artists. This was the Sauerkraut Synthesizer. It used naturally-occurring voltages from fruits and vegetables, transferred it to synthesizing software, which was then playing "music" throughout the space. You can't really see but he has an apple, potato, tomato, pickle, & sauerkraut hooked up to a bunch of different wires. Whenever he would irritate and pull on the wires the voltage would alter and change the frequency of sound. It was interesting to say the least.

My friend Zac took this in front of where he works. Crazy!
